In 2016, Edmonson County joined the Southern Kentucky Film Commission, which is an advocacy group that promotes the film industry in south central Kentucky. In a joint effort between Edmonson County Tourism, the Chamber of Commerce, Edmonson Fiscal Court, and our local Industrial Authority, Edmonson County has already seen the benefits of this move as multiple movies have already been filmed in our county.
Please contact our tourism office to find out more about Kentucky's tax incentives offered to filmmakers. With caves, lakes, rich farmland, and hometown atmospheres second to none, Edmonson County is a wonderful place for making films.
